Thsi is col stuff. It is good to see the variety of weapons forms. Interesting how the saber fencers kept at extreme range from each other, while the hand-and-a-half sword fighters kept on coming into grappling range. The action when one of them lost their sword was pretty exciting.

Nit-pick: With all of them wearing black, it is hard to see what they are doing, and to tell them apart.

Disappointment: I was expecting Hugh Jackman, John Travolta, and Halle Berry with swords.

    Jake Norwood?

He's the HEMA instructor at my gym. The Maryland KDF flag is up in the background in that fight. They do a lot more longsword than saber in classes though.

From what Jake's said, he basically used his knowledge of dussack in the saber fights.

And I concur, Jake is an all-round awesome guy!

Falchion, Messer, dussack, cutlass, sabre...they all have more in comon than they have differences. The reach & hilts vary, but they're single handed, single edged blades balanced primarily for the cut, but capable of thrusting. It doesn't take a huge leap to transition between them. I'm not surprized Jake, having dussack experience, did well with the sabre.
