That's the thing, he did okay against a guy with 9 months of training. He was NEVER in control, but most people thought it would be a slaughter. He held his own for two rounds.

This is the best way, IMO, to do a Gong Sau.

cotton had more than 9 months of training. it had been 9 months since his smoker where it was obvious he had been training.

First off, Daaaumn I've gotten spoiled by all the elite level boxing/k1/mma. It took me a bit to put it in perspective.

Second, Good for Dan, he stepped in the cage AND he fought with some skill and heart. He even had a nice knockdown shot in the first. He did better than many of our members would/have. He has definitely earned some of my respect.

Oh and let's hope he wises up from this, quits his systema/ninjutsu training and goes to an alive gym.

i'm guessing cotten had a year-ish of training. which says a LOT about the efficiency of alive training.

Danbo has access to good training and pro fighters that want to work with him. i hope to see him do well in the future.

Cotton passed up two guillotines all but handed him on a silver platter.

Big props to Danbo for stepping up. Perhaps he'll slack up on killing water bottles in the back yard and take up some real training. Not bad for being self trained.

Ralph Severe will probably take some credit, much like Carter Hargrave when one of his rank by video students stepped up.

Is Danbo banned or did he just rage quit?

He went in to pound Danbo, that much is obvious to me. That's why I said Danbo was never in Control, but he hung in there and did better than most people expected. Considering how much **** talk gong saus disappoint, this is the best one since Os vs JFSUSA IMO. Heck it is up there with DTT vs. Sirc which was another fun gong sau.

He was banned because he couldn't troll better than resorting to racial and religious epithets.
