The scariest part is that family court judges have almost unlimited power over the families that appear in their courtrooms. If I ever have the urge to move to Texas, I'll just watch this video again.

I know its not the "moral" thing, but I hope somebody agrees with me and puts him through that same kind of physical violence, or even worse. What a worthless piece of fucking ****.

Did anyone else get the impression that there was something vaguely sexualized to this beating too? I mean I know the butt has to be exposed in order to beat it, but he was insisting she 'bend over the bed'. Well, I guess for that kindof personality, those two things aren't far apart.

It was in the back of my head but I didn't even want to give consideration to it. I'd hope that his insistence on her bending over was more about submitting to the punishment.

The point was moot though when he began beating her legs with the belt; unlike a swat on the backside, the legs aren't generally covered with a lot of fat (which is the reason/justification for swatting the backside in the first place). I'm sure in this guy's mind, he was justified in his actions because she wasn't complying.

So obviously Judge Adams subscribes to the 1990's LAPD Parenting Method, if nothing else (beat them into compliance). Because I really don't want to consider it any further... I'm at my limit of patience for the human race for the rest of the day.

I wonder...
there are so many other correlated behaviours to this sort of violence. I wonder how the pets and the wife go in terms of treatment...the way she is complicit in it is disturbing, although who knows what the power dynamics are in that family.

Domestic violence, sexual abuse they have no socio-economic barriers, that's for sure.
