In one thread everyone made him look like:

A child molester (pointing out the whole spanking thing sounds sexual)
A bad judge (I don't know why)

And!

A bad parent, which is the original subject.

And I'm not talking about "here" only, I'm talking about all the developing countries in the world where they can't take your child away from you, that is the majority.

You may think this is bad parenting and you have every right to because parenting is subjective, but to accuse him of being a poor judge and child molester based on no proof other than the thought of "dis man evil" is just...

Again, in my opinion this is all very exaggerated to make a good story.

I personally have seen no evidence to think he is a child molester. As far as judge goes, yeah, if you are out breaking the law, then you have no right to accuse or convict people of doing the same thing. It eliminates his credibility and calls into question his ability to interpret the law.

The whole thing is about whether he broke the law by beating her excessively or not...

I don't know anything about the law in your country but I know that in mine he did no such thing as break the law. Excessive is when he uses knuckles or blunt objects or leaves a permanent mark or causes a disability or bone fractures, cuts or anything of the sort.

Did he break the law?

The Texas law allows you to physically discipline your child as long as you don't cause physical or emotional harm. I couldn't say if he caused physical harm without seeing a medical report. I can say that he caused emotional harm based on the daughter and mother's reports after the fact. The fact that it wasn't reported by the mother makes her an accessory in my opinion but I'm not sure what Texas law is in accessories to crime.

So the evidence of him breaking the law and therefore being a poor judge are just the words of a kid and her mother? I don't mean to nitpick but anyone can play the victim it's the easiest thing in the world, and she has a video tape to back it up too.

The physical evidence is measurable but the emotional harm thing is...

Any beating or "physical disciplining" is sure to cause emotional harm, that is why it's disciplining.

What I'm really trying to say is everyone here should take a good look at things before jumping to conclusions emotionally and taking sides.

This is what makes a media hype out of a family dispute.

Well, the media didn't originally bring this up, she posted the video on YouTube. I actually haven't seen any thing in the media about this in about a week. We are discussing it, but it is pretty much over in the media.

I meant the media exaggerated it later on. The media exaggerating it further was an assumption on my part, yes.

Mister, would you please watch the entire seven and a half minute video and then come back telling us this is all just media exaggeration and that the beating clearly wasn't that bad?
