Wow. My instructor only does 3 stripes per belt. But I've seen kids at tournaments with belts like this. It's fucking ridiculous. And when I say kids, I don't just mean little kids. I've seen people in my divisions with these crazy looking belts and with stripes like the back part of the belt and stuff.

I didn't read the original post that way at all.. More specifically I read a post which was mocking the system which placed children in a position of having multiple stripes on a non-blackbelt.
May be one or two for the more senior colours like purple or brown but yellow.. FFS"To sin by silence when one should protest makes cowards out of men".
