I usually bet on the underdog, but that's not lucritive enough odds, and I'd never ever ever ever bet on Kongo ever. A stack on Mit.

I put the house on Mitrione.

Haven't even watched the fight yet,
but got to say, it seems I was luckier than the time when
I bet that Rampage would win against Jones by sumbission.
Mirko and BJ hanging up the gloves is really bittersweet.

Now that the fight is over, may I ask, how come you all were so psyched for Mitrione?
I admittedly never watched him that closely, but apart from the PR stuff he did for the MMA Hour, what's so special about him? - Some fights I missed and should watch?
Also, I think Kongo will lament this win: The next opponents for him, who would that be? Mir, Carwin, or even Brock, he is not at their level, judging from this last gig.

Psyched for Mitrione? Not so much, it's just that Kongo isn't all that.

I was psyched because I've trained with Mitrione. I know he's the better fighter, and if he would have just stopped the dancing in the first round and started throwing I still think he would have won the fight. I think he showed his inexperience and a bit too much respect for Kongo's power. I'm sure the way Pat Barry snatched defeat from the jaws of victory at the hands of Kongo had a lot to do with Mitrione's hesitance to commit. I think this will actually make him a better fighter.
For having only 6 pro fights, he looks better and better each time he goes out there. He's got great footwork, hands and head movement. He even showed a glimmer of some good mobility off his back. His biggest weakness right now is takedown defense. He's got to drill the **** out of that.

Ah, well, then, all the power to him! :)
I'll look to follow his fights in the future, then.
