    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Roy Nelson willing to trade with Mirko?

    http://www.fightline.com/fl/news/201...92/roy-nelson/

At first glance I want to say "Big Country" would get KTFO'd but this isn't 2002. I actually think he can beat Mirko standing. Am I insane? lol

As much as it pains me to say it, I don't think Cro Cop could beat Nelson standing. He is a better striker, but hes been knocked out a few times recently while Roy Nelson can take a beating pretty well. I can see Cro Cop getting in some nice hits, but his chin just isn't anywhere as solid as Nelson's. Cro Cop won't be able to make any mistakes if he wants to come out with a win.

is he a better striker, currently? he has zero defense, a weak, chin, and no aggresion. i would actually say Roys standup is better.

Would agree with that.CroCop's the more skilled striker but his aggression's gone. Nelson, on the other hand, throws heavy punches like he means it and could easily put CroCop away, IMO.

Nelson takes this fairly easily, I'd say.

A few years ago, this would've been considered trolling. Now it's the truth.

It's called PTSD. I'm not even kidding.

Hell, I nearly have PTSD from watching that, let alone living through it.

Yeah, I made my dad watch that fight with me so I could introduce him to Cro Cop. The result, as well as the blank stare that followed from him are painful memories.

Cro Cop's biggest lost assets are his speed and agility which are non-existent. He used to kick people in the head at will despite them spending their whole training camp trying to figure out how to avoid it, now he looks like a beginner who keeps trying to kick people in the head in sparring. He has no footwork and he plods around the ring flat-footed as if he were much heavier than he is. I would love to see him make a comeback, or just win this fight, but I don't think it'll happen.

It wouldn't be the first time traumatic brain injury changed people's behavior permanently.

The guy that lives off nostalgia in me wants to say this is crazy but like the rest of you, it seems to me that Mirko's jaw has gone to glass and I'm not sure he can beat any legitimate fighter in his weight class anymore. He still makes for a nice notch on the belt for these guys though even though he's not nearly the fighter he used to be. Reminds me a bit of Roy Jones, although he was never as great as Roy was.
