This video clip has been digitally re-animated from photographs in an early-mid 20th century "flick book" on wrestling, by British author Percy Longhurst. It's particularly interesting in that each of the four techniques shown are from the rare "standing catch" wrestling style, in which, rather than wrestling to a fall or pin, the object was to lift the other grappler off his feet. Apparently it was intended particularly for teaching basic wrestling skills in situations where mats, etc. weren't available; kind of a pity that it never really caught on.
