    Hell yeah! Hell no!
The one time in his career he faced a good bjj player he got subbed very quickly,
Can we all agree that anyone who posts something like this obviously doesn't know what he is talking about?

Seriously dude, you just lost the argument all by yourself. Go post in trollshido.

If you're referring to Fedor, he has competed and won some of the most prestigious CAMBO tournaments held in Russia. Suspect sub defense? I don't think so.

He posted some foolish stuff in this forum before, but yes, Super8astard has outdone himself this time.

Naoya Ogawa (小川 直也 Ogawa Naoya, born 31 March 1968) is a Japanese former world judo champion, Olympic silver medalist, professional wrestler and mixed martial artist. He won a total of seven medals at the All-Japan Judo Championships (second only behind Yasuhiro Yamashita), and a set a record of seven medals at the World Judo Championships (tied with Robert van de Walle).

In professional wrestling, Ogawa was two-time National Wrestling Alliance world heavyweight champion.
Armbarred this guy too. Bas Rutten was like "eeets beautifuuuuuuuuul"

Point is, Supe8bastard, he's been around the block, with every style, practically.

His defence has always been his aggresive attack, and he's not the juggernaut he was 10 years ago. I see Monson winning by Fedor putting himself in a sub by attacking wrecklessly and not being able to tear away from it once it happens.

I have long learned never to disagree with JNP. But even if it wasn't his expertise speaking here, I would have to wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Fedor is an aggressive and skilled striker, but he has been well trained in grappling throughout his entire life.

10 years ago? Hardly. Sure, his last few fights he hasn't looked quite himself. But he's been very good much more recently than 10 years ago.

You're right and I'm not argueing that, just that he doesn't seem to care about defending himself, prefering to power in and power out when he has to. Reguardless of grappling skill, I'd say anyone who knowingly gives away opportunities to be submitted has suspect sub defence.

Ok fine, he's not the juggernaut he was 6 years ago when he beat Cro-Cop.

Yes he does, he also has twice as many sub wins as KO wins. I'm not saying he's an idiot, just using trash talk to point that he puts himself in bad spots without a care in the world, and that Monson is more likely to win off of Fedor's style than Fedor himself is.
