    Systema rhetoric

Guys, this is my 1st post on this forum but i wanted to add my views on Systema. I have tried a variety of styles over 20 years and by chance was introduced to Val. I have since had the unfortunate experience of being hit by him and I can tell you that even a small tap will leave you struggling for a few seconds let alone something full on which I am sure would be hard to get up from. I was at a dinner at his house with an X world champion boxer (Legend, as opposed to 1 time lucky guy) and we experienced his punches compared to Vals and they were almost child like in comparison.....
I have also trained with Michael who despite his appearances is the scariest person I have ever encountered (Speacial forces from age of 15) and I think 1 of the main differences between this and other MA's is that their job is to 'put people to sleep' and so they need the most effective strike possible as opposed to mulitiple strikes which other arts need.
All I can say is try it, but ask to be tapped not hit......

Before posting again, make sure you read the forum policies for this site. They are situated at the top of the forums themselves in the form of stickies.

Your post has been moved out of MABS to here because it contains nothing but rhetoric and isn't worth keeping in a serious discussion thread, especially since the last post (before yours) was in 2008.

Don't necro any thread, least of all one within MABS unless you have something solid to contribute - rhetoric doesn't count unless you've got something to back it up with.

"..//.. Special forces from age of 15"
Do you recognise how fucking stupid that statement, right there is ?

So here's you very own thread, start backing up what you've stated.

Yep, every striking art that I have trained, starts out with a similar theory. We always want to train strikes that don't work as well so that we can use multiple strikes. Especially in boxing where the point is not to "put people to sleep", but to see who can last the most rounds without putting the other guy to sleep.

I was at a dinner at his house with an X world champion boxer
Sweet, now you have the opportunity to lend credibility to your statements by providing the name of this boxer and proof that you trained with him.

Seriously if the guy hits that hard why not just go win the UFC heavyweight championship and the K-1 championship and the WBA IBA etc? He can get rich and let the world know about systema.

Also, I reviewed one of Val's videos a while ago. Let me know your thoughts on it:

Your comment reminds me of the JREF challenge - to whit, if someone is such an awesome psychic, why don't they go and win the million dollars? I suspect the responses provided would be much the same too.
