Not to me. Colbert tries hard enough to stay funny. Sonnen just tries too hard. Fighting isn't really primed for levity, the way our absurd news cycle is. Sonnen talks a good game, but he still lost, embarrassingly.

He said something to the effect of. How can you punch a guy 300 times, and he squeezes your neck for 9 seconds and people call him the winner?

Well Sonnen, the answer is he won. Pretty straight forward, that.

It's Colbert schtick to blatantly over-act in his comedy, and that's his job, so there's nothing wrong with it. Sonnen doing the same in his profession is just pathetic. I don't know exactly what was meant by comparing the two originally, but that's how I see it.

I thought it was funny how he complained about the fight being to long as well. If if if is all he's got, he lost, and got busted up in the process by a guy on his back from significantly less strikes.

His trolling does make me want to hear what he has to say when he loses though, and if he'll keep his word and beat feet if he loses.

Colbert got to roast President Bush, the most powerful idiot in the world (at the time)...to his face. That is, to me, the equivalent of Sonnen beating not only Silva, but then decking Rogan, Buffer and Dana, and then sleeping with all of them, secretly filming it, and selling the rights to youporn for millions...springboarding off the fame into pro wrestling and being made the heir to the McMahon fortune.

If he one punches Silva, and lays a KTFO on him, he will have lived up to his own hype. If that happens, I'll be his biggest fan (after him, of course).

No, the IRL roast, that the guy didn't see coming is the ultimate WIN.

Not to be confused with the roast that the guy did see coming, but was still unexpectedly brilliant, and very 'meta'.

It still amazes me that people think he's serious. He breaks character in this one interview, for those of you unconvinced:

The only people who think he's serious are the casual fans and people who look for confrontation in everything.
