    Haha true true. I borrowed a book from the library and it was pretty crappy. Surely there are some high quality things out there though?

    No, its highly secretive. Most of it is passed on through word of mouth alone. Absolutely nowhere will you find instructions on pretty much every aspect of BJJ.

    This secretive art which is passed on by word of mouth - say hypothetically there WERE texts. Where would one hypothetically find them and by whom would they be written by? What would be the hypothetical ISBN?

    In reality, training a lot is what you should be doing. You wont have the skill to integrate stuff from books or vids for quite a while, and Jiu Jitsu is not easy to figure out without someone to show you.

    Also, the reading material and instructionals tend to be complex and a tad dry for beginners to grasp and integrate.

    You'll find it easier and quicker to digest instructions on the ancient font of knowledge known as youtube rather than books.

    For a noob, in terms of books, Mastering JuJitsu by Renzo Gracie and John Danaher is meant to be good.

    I don't want to be called taekido because I do not like Taekwondo and other nonsense striking arts anymore. Made another account to use a non-martial art name. I don't want to be affiliated with that style anymore. If that is bannable that's ok, I understand.

    The proper way to do this is to request a name change. Regardless, I banned the taekido account. I'll chalk it up to inexperience on the site, but after this, creation of any additional accounts will result in all accounts being banned.
    Shut the hell up and train.
