I was looking at one of these for the wife. now I know not to get it! She hates recoil and has dainty girl hands...
And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

scrapper,
just curious, what weapons can your wife conceal? My wife couldn't do anything but a lcp. Kick sucks, reliability sucks, everything sucks about a gun in the lcp size but at least she was able to arm herself. -

Honestly, I love my Kel-tec. WOuld I want to fire it all day? Hell no, but I haven't had any FTF to anything after 500 some odd rounds. Mechanically, very sound in my experience.
The only problem I've really had is I wore out the plastic magazine retension piece, but that is more user related then gun related. They say in their literature not to slam magazines up there without depressing the release. I'm fairly certain that there are some metal ones available, but after a while you get use to it so I never bothered. -

Wife has an LCP. She doesn't love shooting it, but she carries it. She is looking into a .38 revolver now.
But yeah, for summer wear it's LCP or nuthin. And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. I carry a full size 4" 7-shot 357 year round. But she is a full hundred pounds lighter than me.

Oh, I misunderstood. My wife also is stuck with an LCP.
For the PF9 lovers:
how many rounds can you go before you have to replace stuff like ejectors and extractors? My P-11 would need a extractor replacement every 1000 rounds or so, which I found unacceptable.
The reason I ask is because I'm looking to change my carry gun when I go back to Florida, and I really like DA pulls for carry. Right now I'm probably going to get a Smith Wesson 903 or 3913 -

I got to play with a PF9 some the other day. I must say I like it better than everything else I've messed with from Kel-Tec. Sure the trigger is long, but at least it's lighter now. I'm thinking of getting one for concealed carry, but I'm going to hold off until I have a chance to handle a Taurus 709.
