This seems like a really cool sight, lots of 'honesty' going around. So i've plucked up the courage to join and introduce myself.
I did some Judo in my youth and Ninjitsu in my twenties, but boxing and the odd barfight or bunch-up in the middle of a Rugby match suited me better, so i never excelled at the formal training.
I'm 43 now and decided that at my age i was wasting an oportunity by just watching my kids at Karate so i joined two years ago. I'm grading for my purple belt next month and wanting to go all the way to black this time (probably my last chance for this, clock is ticking). Its hard the knees are always sore and i had to have a hip resurfacing last December, but what do i expect i'm getting old.
However the bug has bitten and i want to train more all the time and even with the constant pain i love it makes me feel alive and strong.
OK thats me, go easy on the hazing it's been a while since i've been a newbie at anything.
And you won't get hazed in newbietown unless Omega shows up.
