Goodness me, you're an asshole, aren't you?
    (laughing)
Yep, I train by watching "Enter the Dragon" and I have this little shrine to Bruce Lee in my bedroom. I sacrifice annoying virgins (kind of like you, sweetie) to the all mighty Bruce.

You have the standard, totally ignorant and stupid view of JKD which pretty much shows that you're the one who does his training by watching TV. Read up a little on Bruce, Dan Inosanto, Paul Vunak, Eric Paulson, The Straight Blast Gym guys etc, etc, okay moron?

TKD is fine for children and people who don't actually, you know, want to fight. Point sparring where you can't punch the head? Oh, yeah, no one punches to the head in real life. High, spinning kicks? Yeah, those aren't easy to avoid <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle>. Board breaking? I use that constantly, everyday. I mean, I can't walk down the street without being attacked by roving gangs of treated, baked, pre-cracked soft pine boards.

How old are you any way, 12? And how long have you trained? Thank you for the correction about the ITA/WTF but I'm afraid even a cursory attempt to learn something about TKD organizations will provide lots of info about the ATA and WTTU. Perhaps you could ask ATAman?

dan inosanto before traing under bruce was great martail artist in his own right. plus his sytem of JKD differs because he combined it with silat. And you say my view is arrgoant of jkd but you have the same view of tkd. I will say this again I have never in my life ever seen a tkd school that does point sparring and I probably never will. why because it was made up by you quitters who didn't have the dedication to last in a good TKD school to justify your quitting. Oh yes and board braking is pointless because using that to toughen you hand shins and legs is so dumb I mean really. High spinning kicks are non existent again another ratioanlization by you quitters. If you would of had the dedication to last more then 3 months in tkd then you would realize that all spinning kicks are amied to the mid and low levels. and yes they are hard to avoid because spinning can confuse your opponent but I will admit however that with spinning you run the risk that your opponent has the reaction time to attak during the spin. but there is risks with everything and besides fortune favors the bold oh great glamazon warrior princess.

I've said time and time again that TKD sucks because you don't fight, you prance like faggots. You can keep telling yourself how straight you are, but when you "accidentally" find yourself sucking Master Lee or Master Choi's cock for that black belt, it probably won't shock either of us.......****** slap fighter homo

    TKD Zealot,

To claim that point sparring doesn't exist in TKD schools kind of ignores the whole fact that TKD point sparring is in the Olympics .. doesn't it?

I like the spinning side jump kick. It was maybe my favorite low kick until I came up with a kick that I like way better. My spin kick was fast and I always got it to the target. It can work fine if you have talent. Defending against it is easy though .. just take the hit and grab the kick. Takedown. Ground and pound. The defender can be talented too.

As for board breaking .. dried up pine isn't that hard to break and it doesn't do much to condition you to impact. Personally, I train kicking trees and punching smooth brick walls. Hitting a bag is great conditioning for balance and follow-through but there is still the impact. Bone against bone. To get over the fear of it you have to condition yourself .. get used to the idea. Start out light using those padded things on the wall (or the pads under the goal in a basketball gym) and then hit a little harder. But don't do it constantly .. its not worth messing up your hands. Just get used to the feel.

A lot of people pull their punches .. even in the UFC. I'm not sure they even know they are doing it. Robbie Lawler knows what's up though .. that kid swings through the target and throws his shoulder into it .. he dives right into the target. He left a nasty cut on that guy last night. It had to hurt.

Anyway, ... making fun of Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do is kind of arrogant. Bruce didn't get spanked by Wong. Even if he did it wouldn't make any difference. Here is a list of other fights Bruce Lee won:

    http://www.mcdojo.com/article_read.asp?id=68

Sure Wong's side of the story:

    http://www.lakungfu.com/sifujackmanwong.html

claims that he held back, didn't use his kicks and that it was pretty even. Bruce and the other witnesses there told their side of the story loud and proud from that point on though .. where was Jack?

spinning side jump kick? That's well within the realm of complete faggotry. Leaving your feet intentionally is a good way to get your head busted open, unless the director yells "cut" to save your ass since that kick would work only in a movie. If you think otherwise, you're a homoron.

listen bjj since I'm not gay I don't know half of the slang you know so well but please for the love of god keep your fantasies to your self and go masterbate to one of the gracies. prance like faggots? right again comin from the guy that likes to wear spandex briefs and roll on the ground with other guys. oh and another thing ass clown why exactly is jumping a bad strategy? everyone says it is but never give a reason why. 9chambers I don't really follow the olympics so I've never seen the olympic style tkd. Also at the school I go to the pine is hardly dry we can get it fresh cut but that may because bellingham WA is pratically the damn woods.

Also I'm not insulting lee but I don't think he is best MA out there. I respect him since he lit the spark to allow MA to gain popularity in western society but in doing so he also contributed to the mcdojoism as well.

TKD certainly has become the laughing stock of the martial arts world. That is due primarily to the either disingenuous or ignorant instructors who discovered that with a little flashy packaging and severe limitations, they could sell TKD to the masses in a neat little bundle that soccer-moms and uninitiated students could grasp with no fear. On its face, that has all the markings of a McDojo.

But, to say that all TKD practitioners and TKD itself "sucks" is also just as ignorant. Some of us out there still understand what the word "martial" actually means. To say that all TKD sucks based on the lies, treachery and, IMHO, theft practiced by the McDojo-TKDers, is like saying all black people are criminals just becouse you wee mugged by one. That, my friends, is bigotry. Bigotry is ignorant and evil.

You want to be constructive? Help the legit TKD fighters root out their less sincere counterparts and expose them for what they are. Don't just ham-handedly heap them all together.

If you don't want to be constructive, and instead want to continue to ride your "my art is better then your art" BS wave, then perhaps you should count yourself among those same TKD con men... cuz you sound just like them.
