    I'll answer anyway

Yes I think anyone who practices and defends TKD as a legitimate art is a complete moron. TKD guys always say, "We're for real, we kick below the waist and punch to the face like Muay Thai". Why not just do Muay Thai and learn how to fight instead of prance.

Actually the English translation of TaeKwonDo is Putative Defenestration Technique.

I did Muay Thai. Did it for seven years. Great stuff was Muay Thai! Awesome sport with some value in a scrape.

Jump to my 30s, and I have a job, wife and kids. Can't afford to have the injuries I got doing Muay Thai in my younger days. I was putting on weight and wanted to get back into standup sparring again.

I picked sport TKD because that way I could trade kicks and punches and not worry about getting hurt. All that gear protected my 30-something office body. These days I don't care about fighting or self-defense, or being a badass. I still use some Muay Thai techniques in TKD, and use them to great success.

So yes, I chose prancing over fighting. It was a conscious decision.

Tell us all how you won the Gold Medal in the Olympics Michael. And how your wife cried.

I'm sure it's still haning in your studio 'til this very day.

You are not a Wizard, Mage, Elf or anything else you have pretended to be.

    You have been EXPOSED.

    Sarge get a life man.
Anyway bjj, you make a good point many TKD guys are cross training doing muay thai. The theory is intellegent feet, powerful legs. There's an article in Blackbelt magazine addressing this.

TKD Zealot......if you ever grow the balls to grapple, you'll find out quickly that there is nothing homoerotic about it, unless you're a sadist and enjoy pain.

btw, TKD sucks.....did I mention that yet?

No, seriously BJJ you have to stop repressing your feelings and being so ambiguous. How do you really feel about TKD?

I am of the same decision Boffo. When I am older, I want to look as pretty and feel as young as I am today. lol
