Thought I'd throw this up, seems the street is real deadly in Ireland, brutal doco, it seems!

Can only imagine the damage from Bareknuckle fighting...I think the climax will be one family trianing in traditional _ing _un and then their whole family is murdered from their death touch power up chi ball.

This is the first I've ever heard of them...surprised they let them document most of it on camera though, or do they just not care? Isn't this **** illegal in Ireland or is it nationally supported?

They are pretty much universally despised in Ireland, though few people dare to deride them within earshot (you've got to be careful who you call a knacker, or who hears you say it). A large part of it stems from them moving on after they commit crimes and rarely being held to account.

From the doco blurbs it seems it took 12 years for the filmer to gain sufficient access to them to get the footage required.

You'll know the gypos are nearby because of the rubbish dumped all over road sides, illegal halting sites on private property, mysterious increase in burglaries and theft of copper piping/cylinders from unoccupied houses, fights in local pubs and general sense of unease in the local community because of the potential for an epic street fight between opposing families (often involving slash hooks and hurley sticks with nails driven through them). The sad thing is they willingly bring their kids into that environment when they have the option to get free social housing and education etc.
