Reefer Madness - fighter booted from UFC 136

A fighter has been removed from UFC 136, for apparently testing positive for the 'herbs'.

Heavyweight fighter Dave "Peewee" Herman (!?!!!) failed a preliminary drug test for....ganja.

As a result the UFC announced his bout vs/ Mike Russow is off, and Leonard Garcia vs Nam Phan is moving to the PPV slot, from prelims.

Herman (21-2, 1-0 UFC) says "I don't even smoke. I haven't even had a beer in two months."

If I'm not mistaken, Phan and Garcia was that shitheap of a decision that literally had my big stupid mouth agape. In all my sport watching years, it is to me, one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Even fixed fights have more credibility than that call.

Well, for one, if he has indeed taken a few hits in the past months, that's fine I guess. I mean it's not roids we're talking here. Not like it boosts his performance. I can understand them just going with the law and penalizing them simply because it is illegal, but to me it's not cut worthy.

I am happy for Nam Phan though. I have never even heard of Dave Herman, so it doesn't really matter to me.

I agree with Alex, though. This numbnuts knows the rules. He's just getting his foot in the door with the UFC. Why risk your future like that. He's a retard.

I'd like to know the kind of test they did. It's very possible he got a contact high while abstaining; a situation virtually impossible with the use of PED's.
