A true "street" fight

That's right. I fought a street. And while I wouldn't say I won, I might call it a draw.
While biking up to Sambo practice, I hit a gap in the pavement at a wierd angle, and the bike spinning out from under me. I get thrown from my steed, and hit the concrete. Hands hit first, tuck and roll into a vanilla-bean front rolling fall. I get up and continue on my way; slightly bruised on the hands, but my helmet never even touched the ground.
I've had two similar wipeouts in the past; once where I hit a curb in the dark and again rolled out of the fall, and another time where my bike slid out from under me on some ice and I hit the ground with a backfall, palms slapping the cement and everything.
The point of this thread is - martial arts training has saved me from being attacked on the streets once, and being attacked by the streets thrice. That's a 3-1 ratio of terrestrial versus human assailants.
TL;DR version: BJJ wins. Again.

HAhah. Nice work!

I remember a time when the street defeated me.

Many years ago I was riding a BMX and bunnyhopped as i turned into a street, the wheels went fom under me i fell and slid a meter or so into the gutter, my head hit the kerb. I was wearing a helmet thank ****.

I did not know MA then. Perhaps i will win next time we duel.

Hopefully that street won't sneak into your house and murder your family. That's how it's usually done on the streets, right?
