Cain Velasquez and Junior Dos Santos to headline FOX UFC Event- Nov 12, 2011

So, looks like Cain Velasquez vs JDS will be the event for the first FOX card. It will be Novermber 12th, the same day that Manny Pacquiao takes on Juan Marquez.

I think its an excellent decision. A title fight carries a lot of prestige and both fighters never put on boring fights. This could be one of the best fights of the year, so to be able to see the fight for free is gonna be pretty sweet.

Thoughts? Predictions?

It really is a tough call, but I've been riding Dos Santos' nuts all the way to the title shot, so I see no reason to get out now. Dos Santos by KO in round 3 after a crazy back-and-forth fight.

I assume they'll show the prelims after the fight is over, since they'll have an hour to fill up and both of them are finishers.

God ... so hard to pick this one. I'm going to side with Cain though, I hope his injury hasn't put him off at all though.

If JDS' takedown defense is solid then hell yes. Of course if I'm Velasquez there is no way on Earth I'm gonna get into a boxing match with Dos Santos.

I see Velasquez winning by trying to wear JDS down with kicks and wrasslin' at first, then eventually going in for the kill when the time presents itself. Of course, JDS has pretty good takedown defense, and if they do end up on the ground he is definitely capable of taking care of himself. It will be a super close fight, but I see Velasquez winning in the 4th or 5th by TKO or winning on a decision, as long as he is able to use all of his arsenal and his fantastic cardio.
