    Kicking the shin whilst performing a kouchi/ouchi does not help you. Kicking someone's ankle however makes them move which is a great setup for uchi-bomb.

    You know, it amuses me to have found this thread the day I come back from a Judo class. (MMA gym I was decided to close down, fortunately got some recommendations from Jujutsu teacher).
    I wish the Judo club I'd found was more like this though. It was mostly kids with the instructor being around my size. Still, was able to work out and practice with the instructor after the formal class was over.

    Clubs like that aren't for rec players, they're for elite fighters.
