True dat, I was more thinking along the lines of, "If Randy Can Do It, So Can I".

Which when reality hits you in the face, no one is really like Randy. :)

I keep reminding myself all the time. LOL

Btw, saw the clip of me and Vargas. It actually looked like I was doing good for the first part of the match. Lasted about 10 seconds. :)

Then it went to ****. Hope to get it online soon. Maybe JKDChick will first.

yes, always have a medical first.
We are all different both in build and physical condition.
I, at forty six, would'nt go for a square on and slug it out sort of fight anyway. But hey its going to be a cardio vascular excersise for you and thats got to be a good thing

As for Randy... Remember, he's been fighting over 20 years, not something he just picked up and said, let me try it. :)

    Hi The_Great_Wall!

Another almost 40 (37) here preparing to my first MMA match coming in 3 weeks ... Might be better that I wait how mine went, before I recommend you to fight! :Hehehe: Pretty exciting to wait, I must say. Been practising MMA just 1 year now with zero other Martial Arts background, so total beginner still, but gonna try my best!

... I will go to ring to win ... even if I lose, I have won myself!

Just tell your coach you want to do it and then do it. Dont get caught up in the elite level fighters hype normal people fight.

Friday night, I watched a former student of mine win an ammy boxing match -his fourth or fifth fight, if I recall correctly - and he's 38.
