Is 40 too old to fight in the ring?

Good point, who your opponent is, is very important.
Like in boxing they should try and pare you with a guy of similar experience at least. Age could be a factor :-?

40 would be OLD to start a CAREER as a pro fighter, but to get in a few fights, nah, go for it.
You fight wehn you want to, its not as if you are gonna be fighting every week or even every month.
Take the training seriously, work on the conditioning and knock yourself out ;)

Thats funny a Lawyer! I remember years ago this Lawyer got into a physical fight with this University professor. I knew both of them. It was a good fight! Then the fight got BIGGGER. And a whole of people satrted fighting. I kid you not. I was there. It was two left groups bashing each other up! I have tons of stories.:D :p

Hey I am 44 I say have your doctor give his blessing due to stress related stuff like heart attack and stroke. I know you are training hard but a ring fight will bring on more stress just from the compitition side better safe then dead.

These guys mention Randy Coutuer , that guy has been a worldclass fighter for over 20 years. He is in amazing condition.

bottom line go for it , just be smart get checked out, train accordingly and have a blast

I beleive George Foremans age should the fighting age limit and hes thinking about comming back into boxing again.

I was thinking of really gearing down and fighting one time MMA. I was thinking a year of training for it, that would make me 36.

As for Randy... Remember, he's been fighting over 20 years, not something he just picked up and said, let me try it. :)
