Phrost's Military Documents

STAFF NOTE: this thread has been preserved as a record of how one should respond to an inquiry regarding one's credentials and documentation. The thread creator has since been banned for failing to live up to the standards he expected of others, by refusing to provide his own documentation when questioned, being evasive on the subject, and wasting people's time by bringing dubious "investigations" of credible people for personal reasons.

Please note that this is not an example of a proper investigation, but quite the opposite; it should stand as a warning to others who seek to abuse our resources by pursuing personal grudges under the guise of legitimate investigations.

This investigation is in the final stages. Here are some of the initial results, this is also a chance for Neal Fletcher to add any documentation that would help set the record straight on his military background.

The initial questions I had about Neal Fletcher revolved around his Army commentary and a failure to disclose his MOS which is his Military Occupational Specialty (ARMY Job). Typically the first question that any Army people ask other Army people is what is your MOS, basically what is your job.

I was an NCO, twice reenlisted. I've lead troops, I've served as the Battalion NCOIC for signal operations, lead OPFOR teams, qualified expert on just about every weapons system I could get my hands on including the M-16, M-4, M-203 grenade launcher, MK-19 grenade launcher, M-60 machine gun, M-249 squad automatic weapon, M-2 machine gun, done a 20km individual road march with 45lbs of gear in under 2 hours, won the NCOA Military Excellence Award, Commandant's Inspection Award for the Primary Leadership Development Course, an Army Commedation Medal, several Army Achivevement Medals, Battalion Soldier of the Month, Battalion Soldier of the Quarter, maxxed my promotion board to SGT (which less than 1% of candidates do) and was even told by a Drill Sergeant that I'd be the next Sergeant Major of the Army by way of compliment.

Pushing 6 years after getting out of the Army and I'm still more fucking HOOAH than 90% of the recruits that go in today. I can recite the NCO Creed by heart, can give an OpOrder, and could to this day define Military Leadership as FM 22-100 does (or at least did as of when I was in).

I got out when the bullshit got too deep to stand, when they went from giving you health care for life to making you pay an HMO (Tricare), when we had to yell "Bang" on training ranges because there wasn't enough money in the budget for ammo, and when I had the opportunity to greatly improve my standard of living by leveraging the skills I'd busted my ass to earn.

As far as the rest of this crap, 4 years is the qualifier for someone who's done a normal level of service. I fucking knew when we started nailing down qualifications for tags we'd have the goddamn peanut gallery and barracks (forum) lawyers trying to him and haw about ****. Obviously if Pat Tillman comes back from the dead and starts posting on Bullshido, we'll give him a tag despite his short term of service.

But unless you're fucking Pat Tillman, or have distinguished your service in some other fashion, 4 years is the minimum requirement for someone not actively serving in the military.

In the case of Neal Fletcher all job references from him were to Military Intelligence which would leave one understanding he would have a Secret Clearance and a Intelligence MOS. In fact the only documentation I have seen so far has Neal Fletcher as a 77F--Petroleum Supply Specialist. If he does have a second MOS that has so far failed to show up on any of his military documents and has the documentation I will be happy to see it.

According to records he does have various ribbons which are posted as two pictures. If these are not correct or there are more ribbons or awards I will be happy to see that documentation and correct the record.

The second questions arise from his claims that he is a Qualified Expert in certain weapons,

His records do not even list him as having a Grenade Qualification much less any of the other weapons he has claimed he qualified as "Expert" on. Its possible he did spend a few days at the range and fire said weapons but that is far from being "Expert" and having them listed on ones service record. If Neal Fletcher does have training records stating he is "Expert" in anything I will again be happy to see it.

Neal Fletcher, Are you willing to answer any questions about your time in the Army? If so here are five you could start with which would clear up a few things.

1. What was your first MOS?
2. What was your second MOS?
3. What were the training dates of your second MOS?
4. What was your date of rank to E5 Buck Sergeant?
5. Do you have any documents concerning your weapons training?

So, ar549, what records have you seen? What are those attachments and where did you get them? Have you requested a copy of his military record, it is my understanding these are public records in America?

In the first attached doc I see various codes and information which I do not know the meaning of. Link to evidence explaining said information, and a writeup of how it does not match Phrost's explanation, would be good.

It would also be nice to have specific claims instead of such generalized attack.

So, the bridge was being built from this side at any rate.

The sad thing is, lets say Phrost did exaggerate a few things. He still did more service, made no outlandish claims, and spent more time in the service than ar549.

Ar549 who, still to this date, has not provided the exact reason as to why he stayed in the military for such a short time. We won't get into the....yeah I'll link to the thread after, we find out what Phrost wants to do.

While mildly amusing I have to express a supreme lack of caring (I worked fast food through HS and college so who the **** am I to cast aspersions about what jobs you find yourself in). It still qualifies as military service, though there are interesting implications for that in the context of Phrost's obsessive love for Heinlein and Starship Troopers.

Umm, I thought it was common knowledge that I originally signed up as MI, changed the MOS to 77F at MEPS at the last minute because I didn't like the 6 year enlistment plus travel restrictions, and then used a re-enlistment option to transfer myself into a MI unit after I'd made NCO wherein I became their Signal NCO (basically the IT guy).

Where did he claim this on the website? I notice there is no screen capture, post, or thread where you received this information.

I have sourced for Sam on multiple occasions and he has never made negative comments about the information I provided him. In fact the only people who complained were the defenders of Dr.Gyi and Marc Denny. It is a fact that I did not know how to write very well at the time of my first posts on Bullshido so many of my points were lost, I accept that, my bad.

If Phrost did exaggerate his military service now is the time for him to come clean and set the record straight. His time in service is irrelevant if he has been dishonest concerning his true service record.
