I switch between barefoot and wearing huaraches running sandals from Invisible Shoes. Within a month of ditching my shoes (2 years ago), all my running injuries were gone and haven't come back.

I usually run on a street. I hate tracks, too boring. Running on grass definately feels much better then the pavement, but its honestly not bad, and you really feel the different textures of the road, which makes it more enjoyable, IMO

there was a pretty good thread about this, on Sociocide, which even had PHROST clock in, so suck that, moose.
Years of playing soccer has gotten me accustomed to forefoot running
which was aided by boxing, before that. The need to be able to run backwards, have sharp side-to-side motion, not over commit. Skipping rope and circling made my forefoot used to the movement.
I haven't yet tried vibrams or barefoot running, but for someone thinking about getting into it, try working forefoot, first. I think Phrost had posted up some pretty kickass forefoot Nikes on Sociocide a year or two ago.
Change thread title to "Moose's Barehoof Running Thread of Fail" plz.
