A guy I train with cut his face open and as part of the healing proccess was putting Manuka honey on it. Talking to him it supposed to cure pretty much everything.
I tased the therapudic stuff.(Had to couldn't help myself) And it tasted like normal honey.
Is there any difference and can I just squeese the cheap stuff on my cuts.

Nope ,you can't just sqeeze the cheap stuff on.You need to check the UMF rating. (wiki it).
Normally you'll find it in the chemist shop because its used as a treatment rather than a spread lol,but its still edible and a few ppl take a teaspoon of it each day as a general health thing,(my mum and step father).

There is a small difference between manuka honey and regular. But a cheaper way would be to mix some cheap honey and peroxide bleach. That will work better.
Manuka honey's one of those scams that has a grain of truth to it. Covering a wound is a good idea. Applying an antiseptic to a wound is a good idea. Manuka honey does that, but buying a box of bandaids and some dettol is cheaper and more effective.

Honey as a wound treatment goes at least as far back as the ancient Egyptians
Then there's propolis with its own mythology

Thanks for the insight. Must say smearing the stuff on an open wound diddnt do the guy any harm.
