I am also looking at compression clothing and I have read some good things about the Rupture gear on this site, the other brand I was looking at was Skins:

Style: BJJ 'n stuff--
I've tried two types of compression shorts (neither of them were Rupture) and they both sucked. The cups were on the outside of the shorts so there was a lycra screen between my balls and the actual cup. The result was very little protection and a serious risk of getting my bollocks pinched. Compression shorts sans cup or cycling shorts over a jockstrap is best IMO.
