    UFC 134: Silva vs Okami

    HSBC Arena
    Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami - Middleweight Title Fight

    Ross Pearson vs. Edson Barboza

    Raphael Assuncao vs. Johnny Eduardo
    Rousimar Palhares vs. Dan Miller

Yeah, this is a cool card.

Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami, unfortunately. Although if Okami wrestles well, he could at least beat on him some before he gets KOed or subbed.
Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin. Griffin seems like he's been on a downward spiral since his loss to Silva, although he has had good showings. Just doesn't seem like he's into it in the same way.
Brendan Schaub vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
Rousimar Palhares vs. Dan Miller. The Millers both seem pretty well-versed in leg locking, especially Jim, but Palhares would win that battle. Neither are brilliant strikers (Miller was outstruck by Maia), so maybe Miller will try to play the points game. Either way, if it hits the ground, I think Palhares gets it.

Not gonna venture a guess on the others right now.

I'm not as excited about this card as I thought I was going to be, I was looking forward to this one when other big cards were going on, now that it's here, I'm waiting for the future fights in the works.

Anyway, it should be a bad-ass card

    Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami

No doubt, Okami hasn't had a real impressive win in a while, and I don't think he was ever a match for Silva.

    Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin

That's right, I said it. Griffin.

Brendan Schaub vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira

Despite the fact that Schaub doesn't really stand out as a top guy, and Nog is a legend, Nog's downfall is he's the same fighter he was when he started. Same old tricks, like Fedor, what used to be good enough isn't anymore, and the way to beat him has been revealed. This is Schaubs fight to lose.

    Ross Pearson vs. Edson Barboza

Just cause, not basing this choice on anything but the fact I picked him.

    Luiz Cane vs. Stanislav Nedkov

Don't really know much about Cane at all, so I'll go with the name I recognize and stick with it.

    Spencer Fisher vs. Thiago Tavares

This one is hard for me to pick, I think this fight is either going to be a drawn out decision, or a random chance opportunity for one of them, and I'm going with that luck factor shining on Thiago.

    Paulo Thiago vs. David Mitchell

Paulo has impressed me, Mitchell just seems another copycat mma fighter. Don't know what manner it will be, but I'm going with Paulo finishing this fight.

    Raphael Assuncao vs. Johnny Eduardo

    Like his name better.

    Rousimar Palhares vs. Dan Miller

Miller's only strength is the ground, and Palhares is better there imo.

    Felipe Arantes vs. Yuri Alcantara

I rarely bet against people named Yuri.
    Yves Jabouin vs. Ian Loveland

Again it's in the name. Loveland is a cooler name than Jabouin.

And if his opponent is someone he really doesn't like, the finishing technique will look like a cross between some bizarre Mortal Kombat technique and a capoeira dance move.

Are we going to be able to bet on this fight? I'm going all in for Okami to win if we can. I don't have many points, but I'll put up the few I have.

Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami - Middleweight Title Fight

Okami via Silva pissing himself when he sees Sonnen in Okami's corner.

    Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin
I know Rua is probably going to win, but I love Forrest too much to go against him.

I honestly couldn't care about the rest of the fights. I like some of the other fighters...I'm just not excited about the fights.

    Anderson Silva vs. Yushin Okami
Okami has an impressive record, but not as impressive as Silva.
Silva by <insert crazyass move here>
    Mauricio Rua vs. Forrest Griffin
I like both of these fighters a bunch. I think Rua has a slight edge on the feet and on the ground, but you can never count Forrest out. This one could go either way.
Brendan Schaub vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
Remember this guy got knocked out by Roy Nelson? Whoever thinks Schaub has enough skills this early in his career to negate Big Nog is delusional. He may be on his way out of the fight game, but he is still one of the best heavyweight jiu jitsu practitioners in the world. Schaub hasn't been tested by a veteran black belt like Big Nog since the Roy Nelson fight, which ended in a loss. I see Nog by sub.
    Ross Pearson vs. Edson Barboza
Barboza comes in with a lot of momentum, and the kid is a finisher, only 1 win of his undefeated record came by decision. However, Ross Pearson is 12-4, which is a damn impressive record if you stop to think about it. Also, he is training out of Rough House, which produces excellent technical strikers like Bisping and Daley. This is gonna be a good fight, I have no inkling of who might win, but i'm pulling for Barboza. I get woodies for undefeated records.
    Luiz Cane vs. Stanislav Nedkov
Bulgarian University Wrestling Champion and BJJ Black Belt, 11-0 with only 2 of his wins going the distance, and only 3 fights total leaving the first round. It seems like Cane is a stepping stone into the UFC for this guy.

... Too lazy to do the rest right now.
