Review of George Dillman Seminar

Wally Jay -- I don't know about this guy. His "Small Cirlce JuJutsu" book is complete garbage, but I've heard from some reputable sources that the guy is the real deal.

The Chi sucking thing had me rolling. Has anyone ever been hit while inhaling sharply? You get the wind knocked out of you. It's not fun. It is teh d3adly, however, just not deadly to your attacker.

Just sing that tune the next time you go to a seminar where the teacher lives off of techniques, stories and their own bullshit.

Oh, I have dim mak'ed someone from 134 yeads away.....through brick and mortar.....wood and glass. I stood outside of an intensive care unit in NYC and lo and behold, I walk in and yes, someone died.

A friend and I attended one.

He showed up. Picked his "subjects".

Upon our turn, my friend and I hardly budge from so called pressure areas.

He dismissed me as using Chi. Which I dismiss Chi-anyway
He dismissed my friend as being intoxicated or numb in the area.

To be honest Oyata was never Dillman's master. From my conversations with other high ranking yundansha in Oyata's organization Dillman attended seminars that Oyata conducted and picked up basic tuite and kyusho techniques from that type of format. From my understanding there were very few instances that Oyata taught Dillman on a one-on-one basis. Most of Dillman's instruction came from Oyata's senior students.

From my understanding not many Dillman students participate in bogu kumite or any other formats of full contact fighting. Well at least Oyata's side still fights to the death :qleft7: LOL

Yeah, and in one mag I have, that "contributed" to Dillman's fame, had a picture of Oyata and Dillman together. Thus, attempting to add substance, or significance that Dillman was a hardcore Oyata student.

Seeing Dillman photographed with any instructor does not hold merit in my eyes. In many of his PP books there is a picture of him with Hohan Soken. Suggesting that he trained under Soken (Master of Matsumura Seito Shorin Ryu). Actually that picture was taken at a seminar when Soken visted the United States (first and only time he visted). He also claims that he was given a special PP chart from Soken but that chart was the standard chart given at that seminar.
