should TMA schools be held legal responsible if their students cant defend themselves

Re read the thread, I said if the majority of the advance student can not adequately defend themselves should they get sued. I did not say if one particular student gets his ass kicked.

Example in the 90's there was an issue where korean pilots kept crashing.
There were 5 crashes in two years. In response the canadian goverment banned all korean flights from canadian air space.

If a school is advertising self defence then a significant portion of its student should
be able to defend hemselves

None of my students can prevent Korean planes from crashing. I think one has an umbrella though.

if the FDA is conducting clinical trials for a new cancer drug,
and the drug only works 20% of the time. The FDA will not approve the drug for
market and any doctor caught prescribing the drug will be illegal.

The Op poses an interesting idea. A school claiming to teach self defense should produce students that can defend themselves. I agree with that.

However, suing over the issue is retarded. Schools would find loop holes, and many already have. They don't advertise self defense they promote self confidence and other hippy-esque benefits. If the OPs "law" went into effect, legitimate schools that do offer self defense wouldn't claim it to protect their asses.

Here let me help because, you are going down the road of fail. FDA is REGULATED martial arts are not.
