you should use daedo they are pretty comfortable and not that pricy
I have a Vision hogu now. It was a little restricting when I got it new, but not as bad as some other "competition" hogu. The problem I found is that after any substantial amount of training with the hogu on, the protective foam will start to tear at any bends, like where the chest comes down to go around the trunk. If you want a high quality hogu, go with Adidas or DaeDo in my opinion.
For shin/forearm gear I have owned adidas, vision, and mooto. The ones with velcro straps are pretty much all the same, though adidas seems to be of a slightly higher quality. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41N08TKHBVL.jpg
I REALLY want a pair of these forearm guards though. I've heard they don't shift around and give great protection. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-1218776...8_2171_6403732 Any thoughts?
Most of the people at my dojang buy from the teacher. Helps support the dojang and he only sells good stuff.
What uniforms do you guys use? The uniforms have a kinda cardboardy hard feel....
I use the Mooto Extera in competition. It's VERY light weight, very good looking, and also comfortable. But I use the Adidas Champion when I'm training. A little heavier, and a nice snap for forms.
How do you guys feel about the new EBP (Electronic Body Protector) system?
