    Good Boxing Documentaries

Just wondering but what is some cool stuff on the internet about boxing? I know there are plenty about a specific boxer's life but I don't want to watch those- I only want ones about the art itself and not an in depth biography of a practitioner!

    Thanks!

P.S. Something like the boxing episode for Fight Quest would be awesome!

Well that might not be what your looking for but there is this one on the Golden Era of Heavyweight Boxing. It is not about a specific fighter's life but focuses a lot on the characters and drama of the era.

The first Ali v Frazier was originally packaged with Burt Lancaster acting as the host and walking through the build up including entering Ali's dressing room. There's a great cameo when Angelo Dundee shooes all the visitors out of the room as Ali's lying on a couch. I think Luis Sarria is performing his masseur duties. Ali cut in "Hey Angelo, I'm the Boss. Bring 'em back in" Dundee replies, "You ARE the Boss, everyone back in". Funny, revealing and true.

Try to get hold of "When We Were Kings", the Foreman v Ali fight in Kinshasa. Great stuff.

    That's a start.

This got a little bit of hype over here in the US, but I dont know how much exposure it got overseas.

I like it. I'll have a look for it in HMV and various. Full respect to the owner.

I'll also have a look at LeBatelier's vid as well. That looks excellent.

    Thanks both.

If you watch the one I posted until the end, there is an interview of Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton and Holmes. I think it was the first and last time that they all sat down together for an interview. Quite nice !
