I am playing with true boxer stance vs widened "mma stance" in my training, and I'm highly conflicted between what is better for my mma game overall.
When I use the wide stance my grappling defense is much better, I nail more counters off their shot attemps and I get more power off my jab.
When I use true boxer stance, my footwork, distance and angling are much better and I put myself in more situations to land clean blows from angles. Like people have said though, I will eat more kicks to my lead leg and get snagged by more singles.
