I hope they install some rope or fence there. Accidents will happen otherwise. Notice the KO in the very first video, I didn't like how his head was airbouncing. Next time might be worse.

Also, damn those Chinese are disrepectful. What the hell, they're just laughing during the fight.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He was doing some push kicks in there with some crazy jumping axe kicks or something like that. Pretty slick, but not very Taiji-ish.

they might have some taiji experience, but they all seem to fight like sanda guys, what with all the big kicks and scissor takedown attempts.

he's been mentioned in other threads, but i always think of Chen Ziqiang when people ask about fighting taiji. shoulder checks and winding body throws, all day.

Yeah, that is an interesting point. The Taiji guys I train with compete in Sanda. And if you ask about it, then they will say that the Sanda is contained within the Taiji.

Part of the game is to cause accidents. It's why there's a fair amount of actual pushing in some Chinese martial arts. Over you go!

Maybe, but the first thing I thought when I saw the KO was "Man, that would have been a lot worse if the back of his head had hit that floor.

It's the bounce after getting KO'd in my first fight that sent me into a loop I'm pretty sure, rather than the initial punch that landed clean. My buddy Marcio also had a similar thing happened that left him with dizzy spells for some time because the back of his head was struck over and over in a match.

Otherwise, I think the hard circular ring is cool, and I'd like to see it get a little bigger for the purposes of movement and bigger amplitude throws.

Downside of CMA vs, say, JMA or whatever.

JMA: Here is how to safely fall so as not to land on your head.

CMA: Hey, if you were any good, you wouldn't land on your head. So get good.

You CMA'ers have a special technique for not hitting the back of your head while falling down unconscious? :p
