After Griffiths killed Benny (Kid) Paret he said said he never wanted to hurt anyone again. He was so scared to hit someone, that he was always holding back. Even though it was the ref that should have stopped the fight he was the person that delivered 18 punches to Paret's head while he was slumped against the ropes. He lives with that memory every day and from reading some of his interviews I think it really haunts him.
