This happened in the movie "Fearless". I think I would have to take a long sabbatical if this ever happened. My first action would be to tell off the ref though, because as was said the ref has responsibility to ensure the safety of the fighters, as do the doctors who screen fighters.

Meh, I one time a guy attacked me and I Judo'd him into a coma. Never lost a minute of sleep. Asshole had it coming. In a pro fight, my goal IS to beat him to death. Damn referees keep interfering with my work.

Heh, I am enjoying the answers, both serious and silly.
What if it were to happen with a single strike? How could the ref be responsible then? I'm guessing it's more clear-cut when choking instead of striking is involved?

I`d **** their corpse after I pissed on it or wander the earth on a visionquest for a few years before becoming an even more dangerous fighter with greater restraint.

Unless there is an underlying medical condition which would preclude fighting in the first place, it would be pretty hard to kill someone with a choke in a supervised fight. You go out in under 10 seconds, but it can take a minute or two to cause permanent brain damage.

That could never happen. They don't allow chun in tournaments.
