    No love for technichians

Since guys here are more learned in MMA than me, I'd like to ask you guys is there any love for the technical fighters?

When I'm chatting up with acquaintances about MMA, its always about the korean zombie, the outlaw, the (insert fighter name of dude that likes to throw technique out the window and trade shots). Is the norm?

I think you'll find most people who actually train or know something about fighting can and do appreciate technical fighters.
For me personally, one of my all time favourite fights is Demian Maia Vs. Jason MacDonald, which was an amazing technical fight on the ground.
Sure people enjoy a good brawl every now and again, but a sound technical fighter is no less impressive.

for the most part i think that people want exciting fights, myself included. i don't only want to see brawls, but for the most part, those tend to be objectively more exciting than seeing someone put a wrestling clinic on someone. one of my favorite fights was the johnson/torres fight as that was an absolute gem in terms of ground work

Unfortunately, people who train or know something about fighting to not make up an especially large percentage of the MMA fanbase, which is why you're likely to hear loud booing from the crowd the microsecond two extremely talented BJJ players start doing anything but sloppy brawling as nobody wants to see any of the faggy manhumping.

Oh man, have I not been sycophanting over Masakazu Imanari and Shinya Aoki enough lately? I apologize.
I'm a huge huge fan of unorthodox technical guys, like the two above. They make the whole fight game a lot more interesting.
