What Overeem said about timing is reasonable. Is it not possible that this is Zuffa being hardasses, and doing what they've often done....**** on fighters that won't follow the corporate will? Reem didn't sign w/ Zuffa, and was bought up in the SF deal.

This looks to me, like some corporate overlords, showing the star who they think is really boss. I'm sure they also resent Overeem competing in other promotions. It's not what they'll be encouraging/allowing very much, if at all, moving forward.

I'm sure most of the top-level pro-fighters juice. If you train full time you're going to wear your body down and steroids help your recovery time. It's not just the huge musclebound oxes who use them.

Besides his fighting, I like Overeem for the simple fact he comes across as pretty intelligent in interviews as opposed to 90% of the other fighters who have absolutely nothing to say.

This is the first major suckage of the post-zuffa-buyout SF, IMO. Taking ammy fights off the undercards was reasonable. Yanking the favorite from the tourney, reeks.

The only thing, that would redeem this move, would be if this can somehow clear the way to sooner hold a UFC/SF unification match at HW. That would cheer me up a bit.

So if Reem was axed for his last fight's performance, we'd have to assume Werdum would be gone too. He stank it up, bigtime.

Let's hope there's a cupcheck battle somewhere in the back-story.
Was it because Dana was at the adjacent urinal to 'reem, and didn't like feeling emasculated because he's a shrimp dic*ed boxercizer?????

What effect do you lot think this will have on other fighters (possibly avoiding zuffa, just to have some job security, or alternately not daring to say a bad word, or take a stand on anything).
