There's no way they can say this while holding a straight face
Gorindo does not in any way resemble what is known these days (erroneously) as Mixed Martial Art (MMA). We do not participate in tournaments. No mysticism, religion, ritual or mumbo jumbo is involved. We do, however, hold a great respect for trees.

They don't seem to hold much practical value for those of us that post here. But at least they openly state what they are... mind/body, no competitions, "holistic practices". Basically, they bill themselves as a softie martial art for those who are turned off by MMA competitions. Fine with me, I suppose. Someone's gotta fill that niche.

Gorindo is like any self named art that doesn't believe in competition. There are thousands of such schools all over the world. No, it is not a troll job my old art had the same mantra and we sparred.
