Against who? A non-trained out of shape drunk? against a criminal with a knife? against a pack of pissed frat boys? Football hooligans? The question is to broad. There only thing one could say for certain is that in any situation their chances may be better than someone who is out of shape and doesn't train. However, sometimes having training can work against you, you may allow yourself to get into a situation that you may have avoided if you weren't trained. It's just a silly question altogether. Lurk more, post less.

Well, potentially this is what can happen if you play your cards right, and have enough size.
Though i do know small boxers who've taken on street confrontations against odds and come out on top.
(i was simply going to say "fuc* all" and link the video till i realized this is newbie town)

Well, this whole forum is a bit silly if you take it too seriously don't you think? i was trying to get some information from people that encounter a lot of street violence, and have some knowledge about MA , and see if they have an opinion about some one's chances against the average brawler. Not against Van dam or anything with a weapon.

I know that a boxer or kick boxer in a street fight will be far more likely to end up with a court summons months or years down the line for damaging the assailant with their abilities, than a good grappler.
