Modding a Glock?

Wondering if any of you guys have sent your Glock frame off for "grip reduction" and "resurfacing/recheckering". I've seen that there are several websites/gunsmiths that offer the service; is it worth the money? Does it make the weapon easier/more comfortable to handle/shoot?

A bit of background: I carry a gen 3 G22 for work. My weapon was gifted to my from a friend and I love it dearly HOWEVER, it tends to feel a bit "big" in my hands (to give an idea, a full sized 1911 feels perfect).

Comfort is too much of a personal thing to determine for you. I don't like modified Glocks, but you might. I would try to find a modified one and see if you like it.

True true...the concept of comfort is rather subjective. I dunno, the more I think about it, the more I want to go pick up a Kimber custom carry II. I suppose I'm always looking for justification to buy new toys. :)

I would love to take the finger bumps off my 23, my hand is too big for the gun so they hit my fingers instead of going between. Robar would be my choice if I sent it out. My only objection to most Glock grip mods is that I think they look like crap, like they were melted down with a soldering gun or something (for all I know that's how they do it). I try to keep things pretty close to stock.

I agree, it looks like crap. And I think that's exactly how they do it.

I never had my own Glocks reduced in size, but if I were to do so, I would only trust Robar or Bowie (preferred).

Dave can do all sorts of mods to your frame, according to how you want it done.

For some reason, the texture of the grip left after being "Robarized" just didn't feel quite right.
