Was Lober in Fred's corner during his fight with Igor Vovchanchyn? That wouldn't be surprising, being that all of the American fighters were considered a team in that Ukranian IFC event. I know Lober did corner Paul Varelans for his fight with Kimo in the UU '96, though.

Fred's style was called Budokan Kung-Fu. Anybody know what that is?

I just looked up the video. It seems that a lot of the American fighters walked out with Floyd:

Edit: The commentators said he trained with Red Heard, who also fought on the card. Heard was a big, tough grappler who looked like a pirate.

LOL I just crossed wires... it was Heard (not Lober) that was from te same camp. My first instructor actually fought that dude at WVC 1

David Hood? I saw that fight. Hood put up a good fight because he stood up during a scramble and kicked Heard in the face.

Yeah, Dave was the senior student at my first gym. Rickson trained him for that fight.
