If this were to be implemented there would be ALOT of draws.

Would you really want a fight like Koshchek vs. GSP to be a draw? GSP beat him silly for five rounds using jabs. Should that be a tie? IF you say yes, then you are saying that a clearly outclassed fighter should lay and pray as much as possible to get the draw (assuming they are smart enough to figure out they won't win).

Is that really what we want?

This sounds like lazy talk to me. Get moving buddy. It wouldn't be very hard, but it would be extremely time consuming. Perhaps start with a small sample of maybe 2 or 3 top fighters from the same weight class?

But if the other guy is totally outclassed shouldnt the superior guy be able to finish him?
GSP could of finished Koshechek and the only reason he didnt was so he wouldnt get caught.Once the fight was in his pocket he fell back to a concervative style to not risk losing.
So im with B.J. on this one, we would see a lot more finishes if the idea was implemented

I think you're overlooking the effect the new rules would have on GSP's behaviour. He would have an incentive to try and pull off something dramatic now.

So, you want the superior fighter to be the one to be desperate and do something dangerous to win instead of the outclassed fighter (which we have now).

Will that really make the sport that much more exciting? I can see titles changing hands more often, but I don't really think that's a problem right now, IMO.
