Yes I have. The Georgians have their own style of wrestling called Chidaoba. It is an old art that favors grabbing the belt. They seem to carry this style into their Judo as well.

Yes, I use some of their techniques although I prefer not to grab the belt.

I know of a Brown belt who calls his no-gi classes submission wrestling. I was under the impression that if the founders of the art wore Gi's, the highest graded members all wear Gi and grade in Gi then the martial art requires a Gi for it to be said MA. Maybe one day their will be a legitimised split off.

I actually like grabbing the belt whether it is from the front, behind the back or over the top. Maybe you will see some of my blue belts use them at the South Bay Open. You still going right?

Gis are a tool and a crutch. I know I'm a better fighter for my no-gi time but I FUCKING HATE NO-GI

Almost the reverse of JKDC. I prefer nogi, but training with gi still improves the game all around. But yes, gis are a tool and a crutch.

Not this time coach. Had to back out because of injuries and none of my guys are desiring to go right.
