That's "what". The question was "why?".
If this is something about "having them act as one" or some such thing, kindly remember that--no matter how hard you train to "unify" (or whatever) mind, body and spirit--time and fate will sunder them with a cheerful cracking sound, leaving things much as they had been before you started training. All that effort, ended in a happy, agonized crunch.
To avoid this imminent joy is a simple thing: you need only stand before the hoary multitudes, apologize for the wasted time and effort, scoop out your eyes with a tablespoon, set icepicks into your ears and then rip out your own throat, collapsing wetly at last onto your fragrant footwear to the sound of Tiptoe Though The Tulips.
Then, and only then, will the bone-racked, put-upon masses surely know that you will inconvenience them no more. -
