Mixed Martial Arts Fighter Charged In Domestic Assault

INNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 30-year-old mixed martial arts fighter faces several charges after police say he violently attacked his wife Wednesday.

Brett Charles Rogers, of Apple Valley, has been charged with third-degree assault, domestic assault by strangulation, stalking and endangerment of a child.

Police were dispatched to a residence in Apple Valley after receiving reports of yelling, a woman screaming and glass being broken. Upon arrival, they located Rogers, who said he was arguing with his wife and that when she hit him during the argument, he hit her back.

Everyone responds to extreme adversity in different ways, but that's some sorry ****, whatever the cause-of-the-moment. I wonder if he'll get cut. 9/10 yes IMO.

I liked watching him fight, I'm sure another league would snatch him up, quick-like (were he to be released). Heavy hands = ko's = fun

That's a shame, but zuffa really can't support dudes who are trained fighters that abuse women. It has to be pretty serious as zuffa is really good about working with fighters under the scrutiny if the law, al la Rampage, Hermes, etc. Too bad, was fun to see Brett put people to sleep, even if it's been awhile.

He finally wins a fight and it sends him to the clink. Some guys have no luck. Maybe if he was as famous as Mayweather no one would care that he beat the mother of his children.
