The heavyweight title for the promotion Slice and Bledsoe are fighting in.

It's pretty standard fare for small-time promotions to have titles. Bobby Lashley and Darril "Titties" Schoonover are going to fight for the Shark Fights heavyweight title, for example. Even if the titles don't mean much, they at least make the fight a little more interesting for the audience by having something at stake.

The gimmick of putting a 1-0 and a 2-3 fighter in a title fight seems flat out freak show-y. Which I suspect, is how Kimbo's career is going to be anyway.

I assume it's no coincidence that they would want to get Kimbo a belt somehow.

But, regardless, it's still common for the myriad of low-tier promotions out there to offer their own titles. Zane Frazier, for example, won a title with a 3-10 record. And the guy he beat was 2-7:

I thought for a minute Shane was the guy on bottom and going to win the title by DQ because of the 12-6 elbows. That would've made it so much funnier...

How'd that guy win 2 fights anyway? He ran away while trying to run away in a different direction lol.

Incidentally, I just read Seanbaby's article featuring WMAC Masters. I can't believe I didn't think of this an appropriate venue for Kimbo:

The relevant part starts around three minutes in. It's a fight between Olympic TKD champion / UFC commentator Herb Perez and Shootfighter 2 star Mike Bernardo. The fight takes place on a rotating platform above a pit, and ninjas intermittently intervene in the action. Just add some rabid animals at the bottom of the pit and you've got the perfect venue for Kimbo.
