To be fair though, Hollyfield is on the tail end of a career that saw him be one of the three most dominant heavy weight boxers of his generation. There is NO WAY you can compare Kimbo to that.

I like Kimbo, but 37 is OLD to BEGIN your boxing career. Whatever. His first fight went well, which I'm glad about, and I hope the rest of it does too.

    He always seems so personable.

Not comparing them in that way. Just pointing out Kimbo can fight cans for another 10 years easily if he wants to.

Reminds me of how Herschel Walker went from Greg Nagy to Scott Carson.

But seriously: Fat guys. That's the direction Kimbo needs to take his career. Fat guys and professional wrestlers. Maybe he can fight the Big Show on pay-per-view just like Mayweather did.

Edit: Also, weird ugly guys. I think Big Show fits all three categories. If only they could convince him to do a shoot.

The Bean retired from boxing (But not MMA). A certain overweight native American dude named Harry Funmaker beat him by split decision in 2009 and convinced him to hang up the gloves. The Bean beat him twice before, but couldn't make it to scratch that time.

That's wh I feel it's necessary to have a fight between Kimbo Slice and THE MAN WHO RETIRED BUTTERBEAN:

    I like that.

Rodney King also comes to mind. He's had a few celebrity boxing matches, and is undefeated last I heard. There was talk of him fighting Jose Canseco, but Canseco opted to fight Hong Man Choi instead.

He might fight like a teddy bear, but you can't deny that he can take a tremendous beating.

Also, the ante needs to be upped in regards to the presentation of his fights. This is Kimbo we're talking about. He used to be the king of the streets. We can't just put him in an ordinary ring for an ordinary boxing match. We need to create an environment more hardcore than the streets for him to fight in.

I'm thinking of a combination of the following:

The ropes should be barbed wire and everthing should be engulfed in flames.

There should be an electric cage outside the ring and a time bomb that explodes if Kimbo can't knock his opponent out in four rounds (He's only going to fight four round bouts his entire career, anway).

He could always fight Butterbean's son. There's a not so good fat guy he could beat who has a recognizable name.

The fight's happening tomorrow. Apparently, the promotion that's hosting this fight is putting a belt on the line.
