Yes of course Judo is martial. I work security at a bar and use it all the time. BJJ has it's roots in Judo's Ne-Waza. If you ask that question about Judo than you should ask it about BJJ as well. Something tells me you already have the answer for that one.

This wont help as he probably sees MMA as merely a useless, ineffectual sport too!
