Style: Aikido / Kali / BJJ--
Aikido Has Ippon Hana Nage. Two fingers up the nose, turn and throw.
Used to be known as the Finningley nose throw when I was a kid.
I used to have a Raleigh Striker too. I can't remember if it was silver or grey.
Choppers were all the rage back then, but the gear-shift was on the central frame of the bike. Not very ergonomic in my youthful opinion.
Showing wisdom beyond my years, I upgraded from the Striker to a Grifter instead. It still had three gears, but the shift was built into the handgrip.
I remember falling out with one of my friends who wouldn't share a toy waterpistol too. He was kind of a neighbor. You know, not next door, but across the street. Close enough to be neighbor, and I think my parents were friends of his parents.
Anyway, it ended badly and I think I got a nosebleed.
I got hit in the face with an etch-a-sketch once too. That was a nightmare.
Not a real nightmare. I mean it really happened. It wasn't a bad dream.
It's been a while since I had a really bad dream. One of them involved seeing my sister crawling across the upstairs hall. Her jaw was broken, and her head was rotating round and grinning at me.
I tried to talk to her, but she just kept grinning and rotating, grinning and rotating.
When life gives you lemons... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!
"what's the best thing about aikido then?"
"To be defeated by your enemies, to be driven by them from the field of battle, and to hear the lamentations of your women." ermghoti -
